Scenic Drive — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Scenic Drive iOS app and the Scenic Drive Pro subscription (“the app”). By using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What Scenic Drive does

Scenic Drive lets you choose a driving route — a curated scenic route or a GPX file you import — and sends that route to your own Tesla through Tesla’s official Fleet API, so the car navigates the path you chose, point by point.

Scenic Drive sends navigation to your car. It does not drive the car. The driving is done by your Tesla and its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system, if you use it, with you at the wheel and in control at all times. You remain the driver and are solely responsible for the safe and lawful operation of your vehicle, for obeying all traffic laws, and for paying attention to the road and to your car’s own instructions. Scenic Drive is a navigation convenience, not an autonomous driving system, and must not be relied on as one.

2. Independent app; not affiliated with Tesla

Scenic Drive is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. It connects to your vehicle via Tesla’s official Fleet API as a registered third-party developer. “Tesla” and related marks belong to Tesla, Inc. Your use of your Tesla account and vehicle is also governed by Tesla’s own terms; you are responsible for complying with them.

3. What you need

To use the app you need your own Tesla account and a compatible Tesla vehicle. You connect your car by signing in through Tesla’s own login (OAuth); Scenic Drive never sees or stores your Tesla password. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.

4. Subscription, billing, and cancellation

Scenic Drive offers Scenic Drive Pro, an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks guided driving. The current price and billing period are shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Your Apple ID is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
You manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings, not inside Scenic Drive. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
You can restore an active purchase on a new device from the app.
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple is the seller of record and handles your payment details and applicable taxes. Scenic Drive never sees your card number, billing address, or tax details.

Any free trial or introductory offer, if offered, is described at the point of purchase; unused trial time is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store’s refund policy; we cannot issue App Store refunds directly.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: use the app for any unlawful purpose; interfere with or disrupt the app or its servers; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or to other users’ data; reverse engineer, decompile, or resell the app except as allowed by law; or use the app in a way that violates Tesla’s terms or endangers yourself or others while driving.

6. Your content

Routes you save or import (including GPX files) are your content. You keep your rights to it. You grant Scenic Drive only the permission needed to store, geocode, and send that content to your Tesla so the app can function, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to use any route file you import.

7. Availability and changes

The app depends on Apple’s App Store, on Tesla’s Fleet API, and on third-party services that may change or become unavailable. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may change these Terms. If we change these Terms materially, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We do not warrant that navigation will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suited to any particular drive, road, or vehicle. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer law that cannot be waived.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Scenic Drive and its maker are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. You are responsible for operating your vehicle safely and lawfully. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, where such exclusion is not permitted).

10. Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time in the app’s settings. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms. Your subscription continues to be governed by Apple’s billing terms until you cancel it in your Apple ID settings.
